Network with your Facebook friends - Unless all your Facebook friends are not at all a part of your target market, starting with them is a good start. Also, you never know what their friends are up to and they could be looking for exactly what you're offering. So send out that invite to like your page and after a while send it again. People get busy and forget and it doesn't hurt to remind them.

Why this works - You've probably seen many posts on your Facebook feed that say so-and-so friend likes This-or-That page.
When I see a post like that if the business name is intriguing or new to me I will hold my cursor over the name to see more about it. A little window will open up and it will tell you about the business and if any other of your friends like it. You can then like it right from there or you can go visit it. I've discovered many businesses and blogs this way.
The more people who like your page, the more people who are introduced to it. If they see another friend likes it they will be more open to liking it themselves.
So, invite those friends of yours and also post the link to your Facebook page on your personal Facebook profile and ask your friends to share it with their friends.
And make sure your Facebook profile is properly set up. Folks should be able to see what kind of business you are and what you sell or do right away. A person spends only a couple of seconds deciding whether to follow someone or not. Don't make them have to guess about what your company does.
Next time we'll talk about what to post on your page. Stay tuned.
