Not too long ago I was watching a podcast about iphones. The host of the show (Sarah Lane, who I adore) gave a tip that she assumed everyone but her had known about. It was a simple tip about how on your iphone if you want to scroll to the top of posts in an app all you have to do is tap the clock at the top.
This totally changed the way I use my phone and now I find myself doing it all the time. It was such a simple thing and Sarah was almost apologizing for this super simple "expert" tip. But, it wasn't something I knew (or she had known about before) and it made a huge difference.
The tip I have for you today is like that.
When you share a link on Facebook by pasting in the url, you are left with a url address in your status update. Some of these links can be hugely long, but even if they aren't, they're still cluttering up your comment about the link. There's an easy solution and I recommend it for all your posts (business and personal).
Once you post it and the update captures the link and displays the preview, then just highlight the link and delete it. Easy as pie. Or maybe I should say pi. Since today is 3.14 Happy Pi Day!
