Make sure your site is mobile friendly - Tips for Small Business Owners
Recently Google released some changes in the way they prioritize search results on mobile devices. If your website does not have an easy to use mobile version, Google will consider it not Mobile-friendly and will make your website lower on the search results when people search from a mobile device.

People spend more time on the internet via their smart phone or tablet then ever before. 1 in 4 searches are now done on a mobile device and that 25% will only get higher in the future.  It's important for you to make sure your website is mobile-friendly now.

How do you find out if your site is Mobile-friendly?

The quickest way is to do a search on your smart phone.  If it says mobile friendly next to the listing like you see to the right, then you're golden. If it doesn't the next step is to find out why.

Go to the Google Mobile Friendly Test and type in your website. If your site isn't mobile friendly it will tell you why. Work at fixing those things and then keep testing it until it's deemed mobile friendly.

Some common reasons are that images are too big, tables are too big or links are too close together. If you've built your site with an online builder like Weebly, Wix or Square Space, they probably have a mobile interface so you can easily fix these issues. If you can't fix it reach out to your developer or get some help. You want to make sure your business continues to show well in mobile searches in the future.
